Who We Are

Teji Ruth Dilley - director Tree of Life Yoga Center

Teji (Ruth) Dilley

Teji is a certified yoga therapist, experienced professional level registered yoga teacher and nationally certified massage therapist at Tree of Life Yoga Center.  Teji has been practicing yoga over 25 years, teaching yoga for 19 years, and is still so GRATEFUL for yoga.  She recently completed the MSW program at IUSB with a focus in holistic health and equine assisted psychotherapy.

Teji was drawn to yoga and the healing arts in the early 1990s when she was studying social and environmental problems while searching for inner balance.  She recognized intelligence, cohesion and wisdom inherent in the system of yoga, and was hooked.  Teji’s  background in yoga is eclectic.  Grounded in the Kripalu tradition of a mindful, open-hearted approach towards yoga and living, she continues her study and practice with teacher’s from the Iyengar tradition.

Her intention for teaching is to share attention to universal alignment principles in active poses, energetic activation through yin yoga, combined with meditative breath awareness to nurture the innate healing potentials and wisdom inside each of us.  Since 1998 she has taught at her studio and privately as well as at the University of Notre Dame, St. Mary’s College, World Gym, Memorial Hospital’s Center for Integrated Healing and numerous other Northern Indiana yoga venues.  She was involved with yoga teacher training for four years and she has encouraged many friends and students to go on to careers in the healing arts and yoga.

Barb Naranche
E-RYT200 RYT500

Barb, a professional level registered yoga teacher (RYT500) began her commitment to the practice of yoga in 2004.  Upon completion of her teacher certification from Green Tree School of Yoga in 2009, she formally began teaching.  She is a graduate of  an advanced yoga teacher certification through Yogamocean.

Barb’s life experiences in upper level non-profit management combined with her personal philosophy of living life one day at a time bring a balance to her yoga teaching and practice.  Her warm, encouraging and helpful nature shines through in the gentle yoga, chair yoga, and the community yoga classes that she teaches.

Kristen and Leslie

Yoga Instructor Kristen Smith-Myers (RYT 500) began practicing yoga regularly in 2006.  Captivated by the practice and wanting to learn more, she registered with Green Tree School of Yoga in 2010.  Desiring to deepen her personal practice and understanding of yoga, Kristen was unsure whether or not she would teach.

Today, however, she is grateful to be sharing what she’s learned with others. Kristen strives to wed the physical practice of yoga with mindful alignment and awareness both in her own practice and in her classes.  Interested in delving deeper still, Kristen completed an additional 300 hours of training with Green Tree in 2012.

Leslie Biek (RYT 500) began practicing yoga in the spring of 2006 as a way to exercise in a positive way. She quickly learned that yoga was more than a work out; it was a tool to bring positivity and balance into her life. In 2010, she enrolled in the 200 hour teacher training program offered by the Green Tree School of Yoga under the guidance of Teji Dilley and Kim Sellers and began teaching that same year.

Leslie now enjoys sharing the gift of yoga with others and hopes they also find the positivity yoga has to offer. In 2011-2012 she graduated from the Green Tree School of Yoga’s 500 hour program for her next level of certification.
